NESDA is an acronym for National Electronics Service Dealers Association. For over fifty years, it has been the premier association of, and for, professional servicers across the United States, with a number of members in foreign countries.

NESDA members are dedicated to self-improvement through education, cooperation, information-sharing, and the betterment of the industry.

THE NESDA CODE OF ETHICS
In addition to pursuing self-improvement and excellence, NESDA members voluntarily subscribe to a comprehensive Code of Ethics. This code encourages ethical business dealings, financial solvency, competent services, guaranteed workmanship, and helps to protect consumers against fraudulent trade practices. WHAT CAN A NESDA MEMBER OFFER YOU THAT YOU MAY NOT FIND ELSEWHERE?

  • The NESDA “seal of approval.”
When you see the NESDA logo at a member’s location, you can be assured that the servicer is part of a network of individuals dedicated to quality customer service.
  • A sincere interest in providing quality service for a fair price.
NESDA members may not always be the cheapest, but servicers who price repairs at below fair market rates are not likely to be in business for long. NESDA members are interested in building on-going relationships with customers that will encourage them to come back, and recommend them to their friends and neighbors.
  • Proficiency and better education than the run-of-the-mill servicer.
Using a NESDA member-servicer greatly improves your chances of getting qualified, capable service on whatever you need fixed. NESDA members share information and resources via the Internet, and seek training and idea exchanges at an annual convention, making them better prepared to provide quality customer service.
  • The strength and resources of the premier association for professional servicers.
These resources include training on the latest products provided by product manufacturers, advanced information on industry trends, and an opportunity to connect directly with manufacturer’s representatives to get assistance with service-related issues. These benefits translate directly to increased knowledge, which improves service. In addition, NESDA offers special programs such as the Certified Service Manager program, the Certified Service Center (CSC) designation, and technical certification for electronics technicians through ISCET. The International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) is the technical division of NESDA, and has certified more than 46,000 technicians since it began. These competent technicians are the backbone of many NESDA-member service businesses.
